Longford Volunteer Centre aim to connect volunteers with high-quality volunteer placements in community-based organisations. This is a free service and we are happy to work with all residents and community groups in our community.
We are especially keen to advance social inclusion in Longford and are happy to support initiatives that involve upskilling, integration and working with the more marginalised.

Gerry is our Centre Coordinator.
Gerry is responsible for the overall day to day management of Longford Volunteer Centre and is also the Garda Vetting Liaison Officer.
His primary aim is to promote and deliver a strategy and a vision that ensures people and groups in Longford are empowered to both connect with, and contribute, to an inclusive, vibrant, and sustainable society through volunteering.
Working Hours:
Mon-Fri 9am-5pm
Bronwyn is our Outreach and Development Officer.
Bronwyn focuses on building and developing relationships with local organisations and supporting them to identify where potential volunteering opportunities may lie and offers support and advice on all aspects of volunteering.
Bronwyn also facilitates Volunteer Leadership Training to organisations working in Longford.

Mon-Tues -Thurs – Fri 9am-5pm
Verona is our Volunteer Support Worker and Coordinates the Community Volunteer Programme
Verona focuses on supporting new and existing volunteers who have applied for a volunteer role at various intervals to ascertain their placement status and offer support where necessary.
Verona also Coordinates the Community Volunteer programme and offers support as Garda Vetting Clerk.

Mon-Fri 9am-5pm
Oleksandra is our Ukraine/New Communities Support Worker.
Oleksandra focuses on supporting volunteers from the Ukrainian and New Communities who have applied for various volunteer roles.
Oleksandra also offers support with our Outreach Services.
Working Hours:
Weds 9am-5pm
